Sr. Cactus –
I used this with my Spanish 1 classes, and it was a fun way to reinforce regular -AR verb conjugations. The movement kept students engaged, and it worked well as a review activity that got everyone actively participating.
Jackie N. –
Students enjoy walking around the room looking for the next answer and clue.

I love corre en círculos because it gets kids up and moving. Even though some find the activity frustrating (this is usually especially true for the ones who don’t listen to instructions), EVERYONE gets up and does this. Even the kids who put their heads down and won’t do anything else will look around the room and see that everyone’s getting up and come join the class on this activity. This one is a simple -ar verb practice, so it’s a good one to start with since it’s just conjugating. It’s helpful that kids can tell more or less how they did based on if they ended up where they started at the end. (They get so excited when they get it right the first time, especially if they are used to having to try again a few times and finally get it!)
Abril Valadez –

At the beginning of the year, my students had a hard time understanding how Corre en Círculos works, so I always start with an easy one first. Once they get it, they absolutely love it! We now do one every other week, such a fun way to reinforce vocabulary!
Heather R. –
I love how the Corre en Cículos gets the students out of their seats and asking good questions. I love to have these for every grammar topic.
Jenny P. –
I don’t do a lot of verb practice in class as I use more comprehensible input, but I know my students get sent off to teachers who do. This was a great way to get them up and moving while practicing verbs, which is usually boring.
Kelsey P. –
This was great to use as a review activity during class!
Jenna K. –
This is a perfect activity to get our kids up and moving while still focusing on academics. They also do not realize how much they are learning with this low stress activity. The lower level students are have less stress knowing they are looking for the answer and do not need to come up with it themselves.
Haley M. –

This is a great activity to get students up and moving and it actually requires to conjugate correctly to finish the activity. This activity helped me ensure students were actually engaged in their learning instead of just copying down answers from a friend at the last minute. Just Spanish Things –
I love corre en círculos! This was my first attempt at it with level 1 students and it went well. I enjoyed watching the controlled chaos as students rushed around trying to be the first one finished (for a prize!) yet they also needed to pay attention to what they were doing. Very engaging, and I am looking at purchasing others…I hope one day to create my own since this is fun for the entire class!
Aileen F. –
This was one of the six stations I had during a formal observation. It was a huge success because students had already done other Corre en círculos activities that I didn’t need to explain to them how to do it. Students had lots of practice conjugating -AR verbs; even my unengaged and quiet students were participating by walking around and helping their classmates. I like getting high school students out of their seats and moving.
Teresa P. –
My students had a lot of fun with this. Some of my high flyers finished quickly and then volunteered to help the kids who needed it. I played some instrumental focus music while they worked. Really appeals to the kids who need to move during class
Senora’s Spanish Store –
Perfect for getting my students up and moving! Normally I have to prompt them to finish an activity, but they were determined to get all of the answers on their own when doing this one! I love corre en circulos! We also practice the question words when they are doing this activity – Dónde está? Where is it? etc.
Heather P. –
Fun! Sure, I could have just made this activity into a conjugation worksheet, but research shows that active learning enhances memory and brain function. And the students didn’t complain once!
Hannah Striet –
My students always find the corre en circulos game engaging! It was great practice and I loved that there was a digital version so students who were absent on the day of the activity could still get the same practice.

Lisa M. –
once students were comfortable moving the slides it was a fun activity to review verb meanings and endings- but it was not easy for me to correct each student’s work. I will definitely do more corre en círculos activities BUT as a class activity and have students check their own work as we review orally and use the corrections as speaking practice!
