This printable mini book has a LOT of flexibility and options included, and that is done purposefully. Everyone’s family is different, and not all students are comfortable sharing about their own families. I’ve included options for students to share about their whole family, highlight a specific family member, or just create a mini book about them without any sentence prompts at all!

Included:

  • Create a book about their family
  • A version without the sentence prompts
  • A version with “Se llama..” sentence prompt pages
  • A version with “Se llama..” & “Tiene … años” sentence prompt pages
  • A version with “Se llama..”, “Tiene … años”, and “Es..” sentence prompt pages
  • Create a book to highlight one family member (this could be great for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day!)

    -Blank, for them to choose a different family member!
  • Underneath the sentences, there is space for students to illustrate or draw pictures of their family members.
  • A link to a YouTube video tutorial of how to fold the mini books

 

Materials needed:

  • Printed pages – either choose the option you want for your students or print a variety and let them choose
  • A pair of scissors

 

You could even use this as an assessment at the end of your family unit!

    I like the concept, but I do not want to spend more time folding or teaching how to fold the book properly than writing in the book.

      Hi! Were you unable to use the video tutorial I have linked to walk them through it? You can also adjust the playback speed to slow it down if necessary.
