Love boom cards! Some of the cards where you have to correct the verb form are tricky for students. Wish there were more multiple choice questions of translations. Overall, very good practice. Takes about 25-30 minutes to complete.
Ashley Mikkelsen –
Thanks so much for your feedback! You might like this post on how to customize decks in case you want students to play more than the 20 cards at a time (standard play) or if you’d like to hide some of those trickier cards the first time through!

I really like having BOOM cards for those times when a lesson needs to be reinforced. I also like having a self-directed activity that kids can do while I do other things with them one-on-one. These were very well done, although the kids thought the whole things got “long”.

I love using BOOM cards! My students enjoy that they can get immediate feedback. They also enjoy that it’s not a traditional worksheet and there is variety in the types of questions. I’m still struggling with how many Boom cards are appropriate (i.e. 20, 30, 40, 50???).

The Sassy Language Teacher –
I have grown to love boom cards so much. I think it really allows the students to “quiz” themselves and see if they are grasping the concept. The preterite vs imperfect is difficult for some students to grasp in person and I can only imagine some are struggling with it online so this is perfect. ¡Mil gracias!
Stephanie Portillo –
These activities are helping tremendously now that we have to teach everything online! I love the way they are not boring but rather engaging! Muchas Gracias!
