Description
This resource is designed to help you begin class with your students by connecting with them and making sure you take the time to check in! These questions are set up to practice emotions, feelings, dates, days of the week, months, and weather. Perfect for novice Spanish students!
The questions in the Form included are set up to gradually grow with your students throughout the year! It starts with just a few options, and then builds to more vocabulary options that you can add in through the semester! You might make one copy during the first quarter of your year, then come back when your students are ready for slightly more advanced language and make a new copy of the Form that fits their higher level. This resource is editable with Google Forms – change it to fit your students and your goals as you wish! The images are not editable due to Terms of Use with the clip art, however, there are versions of the questions without clip art if you would like to add your own images or tweak the questions to suit your needs!

Awesome Google Form for Calendar Talk with a lot of different options for weather/calendar/feelings (from super simple to open-ended more advanced). This is great if you want students to complete it on their own. I ended up buying the Google Slides version as well because I decided I wanted us to do it as a class in that format, but that’s just my preference!

This has been an important element of my daily routine. I have used the start of class slides from Srta. Spanish for the past two years, and this was a great addition while we are on the hybrid model of learning. I share my screen with the kids in class with the original slide show, and I have the kids at home follow along with this google form. It is a great way to make them feel like they are part of the class, and I also use the responses as a quick attendance double check.

This is an awesome way to start class. I edited it to get rid of some of the questions that didn’t work for me at this point in the year (I’ll go back and change it after they learn more), then I make a copy of that and post it 3 days a week as their Do Now. The answers are easy to track- they all go on a spreadsheet! I definitely recommend this if you want them to practice How are you, the date and the weather.
