    This is a great resources, but every boom card that had an open-ended response marked the question wrong. This left student frustrated, even after helping them try every possible combination (with and without pronouns, different variations of vocabulary like lavar vs. limpiar, etc.) it would still mark the card wrong. I have a BOOM account, but it is not paid, so not being able to edit and remove these cards was frustrating. I am not sure I would use this in the future unless able to edit/remove those cards.

      That IS frustrating, and I’m sorry your students experienced that! It is one downside to a computer grading – just like with Google Forms, things have to be *just* right for the computer to “get” it. One thing that I’ve noticed with my own students is failing to add punctuation on complete sentences which causes them to be marked wrong. If there are any cards in particular you’d like to see the answer for, you can always screenshot them and send me an email – my address is in the pdf!

    My students were engaged during this activity. They expanded their vocabulary word about the chores that people have to do at home.
    Advanced students were able to collaborate with beginner and intermediate students.

    We LOVE BoomCards! These fit so well with the house unit of our curriculum. I liked the variety of types of questions. Students love how interactive they are and that they provide immediate feedback. They make great bell ringer activities or end of activities. If there was a verb or card that had topics we hadn’t studied, it is easy to omit that particular card.
