Last week I was sharing about some of my summer goals for my Spanish. I have really been enjoying listening to more Spanish music (thanks, Música Miércoles!), but I would like to start watching some shows or movies in Spanish for more practice.
I posted on Instagram and asked for your recommendations and got a bunch! Several of you reached out and let me know you’d love to see the list of recommendations, so here we go!
Top Recommended Netflix Watches for Spanish Teachers
- La reina del flow
- Las chicas del cable
- Velvet
- El gran hotel
- Ingobernable
- Elite
- El tiempo entre costuras
- Siempre bruja
- La casa de las flores
- Ocho apellidos vascos
- Ocho apellidos catalanes (sequel)
- El internado
- La casa de papel
- Contratiempo
- El ministerio del tiempo
Other Recommendations
A few people reached out with ideas that weren’t shows or movies to watch, but they had some great ideas and I wanted to share those too!
- Ted Talks in Spanish – look them up on YouTube. The nice part is that you can mess with the speed on YouTube, so this might be helpful for students too!
- Podcasts in Spanish – Duolingo has a few, but there are more out there!
- Community events – find a church service, or maybe an area university has some events you can check out!
Your Opinions
Are any of these shows you have seen? I admit a few are ones that I have started, but haven’t finished, and a few are ones I have yet to give a real chance to! Anything that you would add to the list? Tweet me @srta_spanish or come find me on Instagram @Srta_Spanish and let me know!
