Description
Get your students moving with this activity! Students answer the prompt, then find the answer around the room. When they find the answer, they go to it, and complete the next prompt, repeating until they have completed the circle! Some students like to race to see who can finish the loop fastest, others work at their own pace. Students can begin at any prompt and practice, checking their work as they go.

This was my first time trying Corre en Circulos and let me tell you, I am sold. I even tried it with one of my largest classes. After explaining how to do it, I let the students try it. They were so engaged, even the usually-reluctant learners who prefer to sit and space out at their desks during independent work. Everyone was into it. They were working together, talking it out, finding the answers. It was amazing. I could watch in real time as the concept of DOPs started to make sense. Mil gracias, Srta Spanish.
Ashley Mikkelsen –
Woohooo!! I am THRILLED to hear that! Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback!
Heather R. –
I love how the Corre en Cículos gets the students out of their seats and asking good questions. I love to have these from Stra Spanish for every grammar topic.
Senora Novales –
These activities are easy to stretch or speed up depending on each class’ strengths.
Nicholas C. –
Corre en círculos is easily one of my favorite activities. Students have to get up and engage with the grammar concept, super fun!
Profesor Rey –
This activity was perfectly aligned with my students’ needs and my teaching goals, making it both enjoyable and effective. My class had a great time completing it, and it added a lot of value to our lessons. I used this recently while teaching direct object pronouns!

This is a great resource to reinforce direct object pronouns and food verb vocabulary. Gets students up and moving – which they always “complain” about at the time (at least my HS Spanish students do, lol) , but at the end of the year, always say it’s what they appreciate most about Spanish class! Thank you for saving me time with a wonderfully created resource!
Kylie S. –
These activities are always good for practice for my students who like movement!
Srta Dan –
My students love these! And I think they’re such a great resource to practice with and get kids moving!
Dorene Milanowski –
My 8th grade classes really enjoyed this activity. I cut the squares out, glued them to different colors of construction paper, and put them around the classroom and the hallway on our floor. They were determined to complete the activity and it was good practice with DOP’s.
Carlos E. –
Very challenging(in a good way) and students really had to focus. Self grading and even if they mess up they’re getting a lot of repetition and exposure.
Kimberly T. –
This was an incredible, low preparation resource in which my students were actively engaged!
Erin W. –
Great resource! Running in Circles is such a great game! My students enjoyed it very much-thank you!
Hannah Striet –
My students know exactly what we’re doing when they see these papers hung up around the room, and they love it! Such a fun way to practice DOP’s and I love that it is self-checking. I also often have students check in with me after completing a few just so they know they’re on the right track.

My students enjoyed this because it was like doing a scavenger hunt. I enjoy these because it gets the students moving, working, thinking. I used this as a review. I also like that once you do a corre… a couple of times, the students know what to do and it is fairly easy day for teacher while still a full day of Spanish practice for they students.
Lluvia G. –
i absolutely love these!!!! i have too many! the kids like them and I even get to join in the fun and even correct some students !

Great!

My student absolutely loved this method of practice. I converted this to a tabletop manipulative activity by printing the cards 8 to a page on cardstock and then laminating for durability. He did an extension activity which was to develop his own set translating the verbs into preterite form. He’s also pulled this activity out for review to see how quickly he can form the circle, which has also improved his fluency. Top notch resource! I’ll be purchasing more activities of this format!
