This was my first time trying a running dictation, and all of my students LOVED it. My colleague’s class was asking her what we were doing because they saw my kids having so much fun! It worked just as well in a class of 16 as in a class of 30 (although more kids does = more chaos!) I loved that they were so focused on pronunciation because they didn’t want to let their partner down. The extension activity gives the student in the room something to work on while waiting for their partner, and allows teachers to assess students’ comprehension of the sentences.

Sentence dictations are a great way to get the students up and moving while practicing sentence structures. I use this with my Exploratory students, this way they are able to see examples of how to use gustar.

My students love running dictation and I found the resource easy to use and implement. I did not realize that this resource was only singular forms of gustar, and would have liked for it to have all forms.

Running Dictation is one of my students’ favorite activities and a great way to reinforce/review a concept while keeping the class engaged. In the past, I have made them myself but I am slowly investing to build my collection and save time.

My students really enjoyed this activity! The first time I made the mistake to put it too close to the students and they just read it off the board. Once I fixed it and put it outside the classroom, it made it so much better. They were highly engaged and some got very competitive to see who could do it first! I would highly recommend.

My students love this because I could really see them thinking before they drew what they were listening to. They did pick up that #5 & #12 on the script (when I showed them the answers) were the same thing. Other than that it was fantastic!
