Description
I use this story to introduce the Imperfect tense with my students. I tell them a similar story at the beginning of the unit when we are first working with the vocabulary using this Storybird I created, and then right before they start producing the language I have them work through this story, looking for any patterns they can see. First, it has them draw tiny pictures to illustrate the story, then order the events, then sort words into categories of their own devising. Finally, they label the categories to explain the patterns they see. This file is a Word document, so feel free to tweak to fit your curriculum as needed.
