    I use these with my 8th grade Spanish 1 students during the second after all of these topics have been covered. It’s a great way to refresh their memories on topics we’ve already covered in class and to get them talking with their classmates. Each student gets a card and they walk around the classroom asking their classmates until time is called.

I assigned them partners so that they could talk to new people and they felt much more comfortable speaking out loud with just one person rather than answering in front of the whole class. They have not done much speaking practice this year, so I was nervous that this would not go well, but they were engaged and got some really great practice!
