Seasonal, creative, and a fun way to practice!

 

Students decorate their snowman, adding hair, eye color, and clothing. Then, students write a description of their snowman that includes physical descriptions, personality traits, and describing the clothing they have drawn!

 

You can instruct students to include any amount of information or verb requirements to fit your needs!

 

Includes:

❁ 2 Snowman Templates with the Snowman on half and lines for writing on half (8.5 x 11)

❁ 1 Template with a box on half for students to draw and lines for writing on half (8.5 x 11)

    My students loved drawing clothing on their snowmen, then colouring it in and finally describing it as part of our clothing unit. They also had the opportunity to re-use physical description language. My students asked if they could do multiple snowmen.

    This was a good template and I used it to reinforce clothing vocabulary for my Spanish students, requiring them to draw their snowman wearing 8 articles of clothing and different colors. They then had to describe their snowman. They were engaged.

    This was a super fun activity to use with my ones right before break. It allowed my artistic students to have some fun to use their skills as well as practice the clothing/colors vocab we had just used. I allowed my students who are not artistic to find screenshots of individual pieces of clothing to create their “muñeco de nieve” before writing their descriptions.
