Are you looking for a simple way to decorate your Spanish classroom for the end of the year? May and June can get to be so hectic so I wanted to share 3 end of school year bulletin boards for your Spanish classroom!

Creative Twists for End of School Year Bulletin Boards

Let’s be honest. By the time May rolls around, our brains are running on cafecito and countdowns. But that doesn’t mean our classrooms have to look like we gave up. End of school year bulletin boards can be the perfect low-effort way to keep things feeling fresh while still being purposeful. Even better if they spark conversation or let students reflect on what they’ve learned.

One of my favorite twists is a “Gratitude Garden” board. Each student writes a sentence in Spanish about something they’re thankful for from the year, a classmate, a favorite unit, a cultural moment, or even a food they tried. Cut the sentences into flower shapes and watch your board bloom. It’s sweet, it’s bilingual, and it makes your classroom feel like a celebration of the year.

Laura from Señora Lee loves to end the year with a food unit! She says most kids know about tacos, burritos and quesadillas… but do they know about ceviche, chilaquiles and chapulines? Get students talking about likes & dislikes, then bring in food for students to sample. This word wall is part of the vocabulary support for that unit!

Goal Setting Bulletin Board

This goal setting bulletin board also includes the phrase, “¡El cielo es el límite!“. Students are given 8 prompts to answer on their hot air balloon. They should follow the instructs on the worksheet to first write their goals, then color, cut, fold, and glue together.

You can also brainstorm goals for the class, or shared goals that everyone is striving towards. Write these goals on the clouds and place them on the bulletin board. Download the pre-made board here!

Make End of School Year Bulletin Boards Student-Owned

Another hit idea? Let your students take over the bulletin board. Hand them sticky notes or mini posters and prompt them with something like, “The most fun thing I learned this year was…” or “Next year I want to learn more about…” They can write their answers in Spanish or Spanglish, depending on their level. It creates a visual time capsule of the year and gives them ownership in closing it out.

End of school year bulletin boards don’t need to be a Pinterest masterpiece. They just need to be meaningful and doable. Keep it simple, keep it student-centered, and let it reflect the joy and growth that happened in your room all year long. And bonus, your admin will walk by and say, “Look at that! Learning is still happening!” while you’re quietly sipping your iced coffee and counting the days.

You’ve made it this far. Let the bulletin board do the talking while you finish strong.
