I loved the variety of sports and players in this set of boom cards. It was a great way to provide input after our vocabulary lessons. It also recycled what my students already know.

I am not a fan of Boom Cards, but the additional Google Slides option was great.

I love this resource. My only issue was with the Boom Cards. There was no way to remove cards from the deck, so I couldn’t assign it that way. There was vocabulary my students weren’t familiar with. Instead we had to do whole class instruction so I could weed out the ones that worked for us since we cant do small groups or hand out resources. Also I would like to see a version without the vocabulary support as some of your other reading things have.

I’m sorry to hear that the Boom Cards didn’t work as you hoped! The Google Slides would have allowed for the cards that you didn’t want to use to be removed, so hopefully that additional option worked out okay as an alternative. I love Boom, but they do have some limitations in their functions, like any site! For example, I would not be able to add another version without the definitions on Boom without the same issue with hiding/not hiding cards coming up – students would just see all of the cards twice as they play. I will keep an eye out for Boom updates that would allow this addition!

Love your reading activities! They are great practice for my novice students to put together everything they have learned! Thank you so much!
