I used this when tutoring an 8th grade in Spanish II on the week he came back from spring break. It was a great presentational writing task and served an authentic, engaging communicative purpose- to share about break. I appreciated the different templates provided and the different scaffolds given; I gave him one template to write on while I used another and then we shared out, and I gave him feedback. Thank you!

Students enjoyed talking about their spring break experiences.
Although my students don’t know the past tense yet- the sentence starters were a good way to push them to try using it and expand their understanding.

Used this as basis for writing students will do later in the year. I am giving them vocab from this that they will need later and we are working on sentences they can write as a whole group, then in small groups, then with partners, and finally individually.
