You can even hang a few up on your bulletin board or start a mini display of gratitude in your classroom. It is a sweet way to wrap up November with heart and language learning all in one and a fun Free November activities for Spanish class.
Add a Gratitude Wall with a Spanish Theme
One of the easiest ways to boost community and bring some heart into the classroom before break is a gratitude wall. But let’s give it a Spanish class theme. Have students write short sentences or phrases in Spanish about what they are thankful for. Mi familia. Mi gato. El chocolate caliente. Anything goes.
You can create a simple display with construction paper leaves, feathers, or sticky notes on the wall. Or, if you are teaching online, try using a Jamboard or Padlet. It is super low prep but powerful. Plus, it sneaks in vocabulary and sentence structure in a totally natural way.
This makes a great warm-up or end-of-class reflection. It also helps you create a classroom that feels thoughtful and connected, even during the wild week before break.
Try a Quick Writing Sprint
Another way to tie in some language practice with the November vibe is to do a fast and fun writing sprint. Give students a simple prompt in Spanish like Hoy estoy agradecido por… and set a timer for just five minutes. No overthinking. No erasing. Just writing.
You can even turn it into a game. See who can include the most words from your current vocabulary list, or who can write the most sentences without stopping. Want to take it further? Have a few volunteers read theirs out loud.
This kind of quick activity is easy to fit into short class periods, builds confidence, and still keeps your lessons grounded in gratitude.
