Description
Reinforce clothing and descriptions with this fun reading activity! Students read the descriptions written in Spanish and match to the person described. To check to see if they are correct, they scan the code with a device that can read QR codes (iPod Touch, iPad, tablet, phone, or laptop/desktop with a camera). Students get immediate feedback when they scan the QR codes! If they are matched correctly, the scan will lead to a congratulatory message. No technology? That’s okay! Just use these as a regular matching/memory game!

I was very disappointed with this resource. It was not as described in the product listing, and several key components did not work. The QR codes were either broken or led to unavailable content, making the activity unusable for my students. Unfortunately, this did not meet my expectations or my classroom needs. I cannot recommend this product in its current state.

I used this with Spanish 2 and they did like having a different activity with immediate feedback. However, the way the messages came up was kind of funky and they were a little cheesy. But honestly I’ll probably use it again anyway! Thanks!

This is a great activity. Students see the picture and they try to match it with the written description.

I really liked this activity and so did my students. It works really well as a station activity. They appreciated the immediate feedback. It made the matching activity more engaging.

I really liked this activity-it was different and kept my students engaged. There was one QR code that wouldn’t work.

Hey Heather! I recently downloaded and double checked this file – would you mind shooting me an email to let me know which one wouldn’t work for you? I’d be happy to update the resource so it’s easier for use in the future!

Super engaging and interactive. Gracias!

This was such a fun resource. It didn’t take up a ton of time, but my students were engaged while they were doing it. The QR codes have to be lined up pretty perfectly in order for it to work, so that was a little bit challenging. Overall my kids thought this was super fun though.

Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback! An option to extend the length of time could be to use it as a part of stations to practice, or to do it as a relay (so students have one half of the puzzle and have to go to the other side of the room to try to find the missing piece, then return, check it, and find the next one), or to do it earlier in the unit when they aren’t as familiar with the vocabulary. I hope those options help!
