My students enjoyed figuring out food words (we don’t have a food unit), so it was a great mix of using context clues and cognates to figure out meanings and them using gustar. Thank you!

My students loved this resource! Plenty of cognates, and it’s great that the same structure is repeated throughout the passage so that they can familiarize themselves with it. I will buy more in the future 🙂

Having an authentic real world application for this particular verb really sells its use. This structure is so different from English, I constantly seek authentic experiences for my students to hear the verb in use. This resource hit the spot.

This is a good activity to use once you learn some food vocab. I think I used it too soon because it was a challenge to the students which made some shut down. But, now I know and can use it more effectively next time.

I found this is better for sub plans for students. I found another story that is more about foods and expressions with foods. This was a good one for if I was not there. I like this kind of activity when I am not there.

This is a super cute story with comprehensible Spanish that my level 1s were able to understand. I have the boom cards that I was able to turn into a slideshow and read it with my students so they could follow along on the included sheet or look at my projector which had more images to help them understand. The included worksheets were cute and helped reinforce their understanding of food words and gustar.
