Looking for a movie talk for Spanish class? You’ll love these 12 clothing shorts you can use to provide your students with tons of comprehensible input! A Movie Talk is definitely fun and engaging, but the students get a TON of practice! These Movie Talks for your Clothing Unit are great to include in your unit for a clip chat!

What is a Movie Talk for Spanish Class?
Movie Talk is a language learning technique developed by Dr. Ashley Hastings. Basically, you play a short, muted video clip while you describe it in comprehensible language for your students.
One of the best parts about a Movie Talk is that you can talk about anything in the visual. This makes it easy to fit a lot of objectives! If you’re not familiar with a Movie Talk, check out my post here for more info on how to get started!
Movie Talks for Spanish Class Clothing Unit
As with anything, make sure you preview the video! You know your school situation and your students best. What is appropriate for one setting and one age group might not work so well for another. Hopefully at least one of these will work for your setting!
This was particularly tricky with outfit/clothing hauls since so many people get dressed and undressed on camera(?!). I tried to avoid all of that nonsense, and just clothing that might not follow school dress guidelines, although that varies, too!
Quick note – I could NOT find any videos that didn’t feature girls/women. I might have been searching the wrong hashtags, but I struggled! I will continue to keep my eyes open for videos in the TL that change things up from the usual, but I just wanted to give you a heads up.
Tus Zapatos Favoritos
This one doesn’t actually have audio for them to listen to! It’s a trend where the creator films several options. In this case, the store is showing off several shoes. Great for colors! Instagram link here
Un Haul
If you’re not familiar with it, a “haul” video is where the creator shares a bunch of shopping purchases at once. This is a lot of different clothing, but I particularly like the leggings/medidas moment she has with herself! Instagram link here
Unboxing de Zara
Similar to a haul, an unboxing is where the creator opens a package and reacts. This one is from Zara!
There is a point where she’s trying on a top and it’s too big that you might not want with your classes. BUT, even just the caption is handy because she lists all of the things she shows off. Check out the screenshot below!

Sus looks de la semana
This short video shows a ton of outfits as she’s got short clips from the week. It will likely be a bit fast for novices, but I think they can pull out a few words at least, and you can definitely talk about the outfits!
Unos Abrigos
This one is handy because she’s using all sorts of different words to describe the coats! Here’s the link for the post on Instagram
Jeans Try On
Just like with the other haul for coats, this gal goes through several different pairs and describes them. Perfect if you have students looking to describe clothing with more specific vocabulary. Post on Instagram here
Las Blusas
This is more of a summer/spring try on! The creator is giving ideas for different tops to pair with jeans. Check it out:

Get Ready with Me
This video is exactly what it sounds like – the girl is getting dressed one piece at a time and adds a caption with the item. Check out the post here.
Shein Try On/Haul
If you want to discuss fast fashion along with a lot of clothing vocabulary, this one might be a good option for you! The creator is sharing several bags full of clothing she got at a discounted price. Watch here
Get Ready with Me – En Tendencia
This creator talks about a look that’s in style and puts together her own version. While I like that she gives several vocabulary words and phrases, I like even more the discussion happening in the comments. Check this out!

I highlighted one that would be a great discussion prompt, but even the comment before that is a great sentence starter. See the post on Instagram here!
3 Looks for Navidad
In this video, the creator is showing a few options for formal and informal outfits for the holidays. I particularly like that she uses a lot of accessory vocabulary, which is a nice change from the other videos I’ve shared in this round up!
