This short Spanish reading is a great way to practice tener que and Spanish vocabulary for chores around the house! It’s a great lesson plan for your novice Spanish students or even emergency sub plans.

This PDF practice includes a short reading about a boy who has a creative solution to his household chores written in comprehensible language. The reading includes vocabulary supports at the bottom of the page to help your students be successful. Great practice for chores and house vocabulary!

Boom Cards are digital interactive task cards that provide instant feedback for students as they are practicing. This set of digital task cards review tener que y los quehaceres in Spanish. Students will:

I personally prefer to base my unit around the short Spanish reading and activities, and use the other activities to reinforce the tener que + infinitive structure after students have been exposed to it.
