WHY DID YOU START WRITING?

I started in October 2020. I could not find a book about the daily routine and activities of a bilingual and bicultural child, so I decided to write a story about my son.

WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE AND MISSION IN WRITING YOUR BOOKS?

I want Hispanic and bicultural children to see themselves in these stories. I want them to read my books and think “that is me, that is my story too”.

WHICH BOOK(S) ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF? WHY?

My first book published in 2021 makes me very proud. Mostly because all the work in this book came from Ecuadorians. The illustrator Andrea Salas is from Guayaquil, just like me. Gustavo Negron, the editor is from Guayaquil too and he is a published book author too.
