Ser vs Estar Games
How to Set Up
These review games include the following:
- Printable student sheet
- 2 Printable puzzles
- 2 Digital puzzles for use with Google Slides
- Instructions for teacher use
- Answer Keys

If you’re using the printable puzzle option, start by printing the file. Tape the sheets in random order around the room – or have your students do it!
When I travel between rooms so I usually just set the sheets and a few things of tape by the door. Students know they are expected to help with set up by grabbing a sheet or two, then attaching it to an appropriate space on the walls.

If you’re using the digital puzzle, you’ll just share the file with your students in your school’s learning management system, like Canvas or Google Classroom.

How to Play these Ser vs Estar Games
To play this game, students read the clue at the bottom of the page, record their answer, then find the answer around the room. When they find the answer, they go to it, and complete the next prompt, repeating until they have completed the circle! Some students like to race to see who can finish the loop fastest, others work at their own pace. Students can begin at any prompt and practice, checking their work as they go.

These review games have two different ways to practice- one where students interpret the sentence and write the time, and one where they read the time and write how to say it in Spanish. Print in different colors for differentiation, use one as an extension of the other, or do the two activities on two different days!
If you’re new to Corre en Círculos it can be a little confusing at first! Here’s a walkthrough of how I like to introduce this game to students the first time we play:
Of course, it’s totally up to you how to use the scavenger hunt game in the file. Here are 9 more options for ways to play with this clue cards!

How to Correct these Ser vs Estar Games
The great thing about the Corre en Círculos review game is that it’s basically auto correcting. Students get instant feedback as they play the scavenger hunt game because if they get back to a piece they’ve done before, they know they did something wrong. Likewise, if they get to where they started before they complete all the spaces on their handout, they know they did something wrong and they have to re-trace their steps!
