Spanish verb conjugations can be tricky! Present tense, past tense, future tenses, regular and irregular verbs – there’s a lot when it comes to correct conjugation! The best way to get your students to master the different forms of a conjugated verb is through reading and language acquisition, but I know not every department is on board with the timeline for language acquisition and prefers to stick to more traditional methods. Here is how to play 16 Spanish verb conjugation games with your Spanish students!

Independent Work
Free Blank Verb Conjugation Chart
The simplest option to practice is with a blank verb chart. Students can complete one or two sides with any verbs you give them. You can give them a bank of options to choose from, or fill in the infinitives yourself before making copies for your students. Students will write in the correct ending for each of the verb forms in the charts. To make it a game, put it on a timer and have them race to finish the conjugation tables. You can also use the blank worksheet for conjugation of Spanish verbs with the Mi Lรกpiz game I share down below!ย The download link for this free pdf is in my freebie library for newsletter subscribers!

Spanish Conjugation Games Printables
Maze games have students answer a series of questions, but they are also trying to find their way to the end of the maze at the same time. This simple shift makes it into a game more than a worksheet and is a great option to add to your lesson plans for Spanish class.
I have two options I like to use with my students. In the first version, students just find their way to the end by choosing the correct conjugation. However, you can also stretch this game for your Spanish students by having them go back through the maze and completing each of the boxes they didn’t use on the path with the correct verb conjugations.ย
You can use these with present tense, past tense – really any group of verbs you’d like! Click here to check out my blog post with 10 ways to use maze games in class and grab a free version to try.
Sites to Study Verb Conjugations
These websites offer great practice options for your students! Conjuguemos and Quizlet both have built in Spanish conjugation games to play that are a great way to practice.
- Conjuguemos
- Quizlet
- Boom Cards
If youโve never heard of Boom Cards, theyโre basically digital interactive task cards. I love how they give students instant feedback as they play!ย Learn more about them here.
Multiplayer Spanish Conjugation Games for Small Groups
Quizlet Live Variations
Above I mentioned Quizlet as independent work, and while it’s a perfect app to work alone, one of my favorite options is to play Quizlet Live in small groups. There are several great options to change things up as you play so it doesn’t get stale and I love that they will put the team names in the Spanish language. โMi Lรกpiz Spanish Conjugation Game
ยกMi Lรกpiz!ย is one of my all time favorite review games. It’s perfect for pairs or small groups and there’s almost zero prep, but it’s so fun! Students just need a die, a pencil, a partner, or small group and a piece of paper or worksheet. Your middle school and high school students will love it.
To review verb conjugations with this game, give students a list of subject pronouns and infinitives. Students will record the correct conjugation of each of the verb forms until they complete the list. Learn more about how to play here!
Free Blank Game Boards PDF
This is probably the lowest prep option of the Spanish conjugation games in this list! Print off the blank board, write in verbs that you want students to use, then just make copies. Students roll a die to move their game piece, then roll for which subject pronoun they’ll conjugate for. Boom!

Charades
This is a fun one for your kinesthetic learner in your classroom! Compile a list of actions and verbs your students have been working on from your vocabulary list. Then, have the first student act out the action (or pull up a friend to help for plural forms!). Then, the rest of the group tries to guess the correct verb and conjugation. This one is so much fun because they get goofy with it!
Spoons
Spoons is a trading card game that can get super loud and (if I’m being honest) a little bit violent. The first person to collect all the cards they need races to grab a spoon, but there’s one less than the group needs – a bit like musical chairs! The last person to grab a spoon is out of the round, so things can get a bit intense as they race to grab. Play this one with verb forms and students grab each form of the verb until they have a whole set!ย
El Toro Conjugation Game
El Toroย is a fast-paced verb trading game for a small group of students! You can use it to practice any set of verbs you’ve been working on with your students! I tend to pick the most common or most popular verbs in a given tense to work with.ย Click here to learn how to play.ย This is one of my students’ favorite fun activities!ย
Often once I’ve introduced both Spoons and El Toro I will let students choose between these 2 Spanish conjugation games because they use the same materials. Student choice is a great way to up engagement even more!
Olla de Oro
Olla de Oroย is one of my favorite review games to play with students. Itโs a card game where they draw cards from the middle. If they get a gold card, they conjugate it. If theyโre correct they keep it. There are a few other โmischiefโ cards in the deck to keep the game interesting!
You can have them give the English meanings for the verbs as they conjugate, or you can just have them stay in the target language as they’re working.
Whole Class Spanish Conjugation Games
Mystery Picture Spanish Conjugation Games
This is a fun one that can be used as independent work for review or you can project it on interactive whiteboards to play as a whole class! The game is a very simple one.
Download the PDF, click the link to add it to your Google Drive, then share it with your students. Go to present mode, then click the correct shape for their answer. As they progress through the game, they will complete more of the image on the side of the screen!
If you’d like to test this out, grab a free version for AR verbs in my blog post here!

Corre en Cรญrculos
This is one of my favorite Spanish conjugation games! It’s such a fun way to get your students up and moving around the room as they play this scavenger hunt style game. Students read the prompt on the bottom of the page, record their answer on a piece of paper, then move around the room to find the correct answer on the next sheet on the wall.
When using this game to review Spanish conjugations you can have the prompts be a fill in the blank style, or you can list a subject pronoun and infinitive for them to practice. Some students work as a two-person team, and some prefer to do this as an independent game as they work on their own conjugation skills. Either way is fun!
You can also do this with vocabulary and have students choose the correct verb for the sentence, then write the correct form of the verb, or have them choose between different tenses. One of my favorites has students choose between the subjunctive or indicative mood, then record the correct conjugation. There’s a lot of options!

Scoot
Scoot is a great way to take task cards and turn them into a game for your students! Take those task cards, add a rotating, timed, speed element and give them points. Tadah, game!ย My elementary teacher friend Shelly has a great post here explaining how to play.
Her examples are for math class, but the how to is great and thorough!
Mini Whiteboards
This is the least game-y game of the bunch, but my students have always loved when we break out the mini white boards and markers. You can use white boards for SO MANY THINGS.
I like to do a quick translation or conjugation game. You say a verb and subject pronoun, they conjugate it and hold up the board, you tell them Sรญ or No. This could pair really well with theseย conjugation wheelsย or you can make your own onย wheeldecide.com! It’s easy to practice verbs they need more work on, or get into those irregular forms that just need a little more help with subject-verb agreements.
