The readings are a basic description of each person’s favorite sport(s), the equipment they need, and where they play!

To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with “Fast Pins,” (play provides instant feedback for self-grading Boom Cards). Fast Play is always a free way for students to engage with Boom Cards decks. For additional assignment options you’ll need a premium account.     Great value for the price. The resource is well organized, easy to use, and my students enjoyed it.

    I prefer doing this type of activity as a gallery walk, and usually do it that way. (Srta. Spanish sells both versions!) However, this year we were severely limited on copies, so to save on printing the worksheet, I assigned this version. It’s easy to use and grade (since Boom auto-grades!) Overall, I prefer the other style since it gets students up and moving and I like the open-ended questions better as well, but if you’re short on copies, need something self-grading, or to leave with a sub, this is great too!

    I love using Boom Cards with my students. It gives them immediate feedback and can be used to practice vocabulary, as a fast finishers extension activity or played as a pin in class together. I just recently found out that you can also print your boom cards for students that are on technology plans or to create other activities.
