Boom Learning is a great tool for your classroom! The site hosts what they call Boom Cards for Spanish Class which is really their name for digital, interactive task cards. These cards allow for reading, writing, listening, digital manipulatives (no need to cut anything out!) and have the option to give you data on each student’s progress. Boom Cards in Spanish class can give you all sorts of options to practice and give your students more comprehensible input in an engaging way!
They quickly became one of my favorite tech tools for Spanish class, so let’s dig in!

Creative Ways to Use Boom Cards in Your Daily Routine
One of the best things about using Boom Cards for Spanish class is how flexible they are. Whether you’re teaching in person, hybrid, or completely online, these cards can slide into just about any part of your class.
You can start with a set as a warm-up activity when students walk in. It’s a great way to review vocabulary or grammar points without needing to print a thing. Boom Cards also work perfectly as stations during a rotation day. Students can log in, work at their own pace, and get instant feedback as they go.
Need a quick exit ticket? Use one or two cards from a deck to wrap up your lesson. Students stay engaged until the very end of class, and you get a snapshot of how well they understood the content.
Assign for Homework or Independent Practice
Boom Cards are also one of my favorite tools to assign for homework. Because students get immediate feedback, it helps them reflect and adjust without feeling stuck. It’s also nice that you can monitor their progress if you’re using a paid Boom account.
Another bonus? If you’re out for the day or planning a sub lesson, Boom Cards are a ready-to-go option that still keeps students interacting with Spanish in a meaningful way.
Mix in a few themed decks during cultural units or use them for specific skills like ser and estar, question words, or prepositions. Once students know how to use them, they’ll be up and running any time you need a low-prep but high-impact activity.
