Sometimes when you are lesson planning, it’s nice to include some variety in your lessons in terms of individual, partner, small group, and class-wide activities. I thought it might be helpful to share a list of partner activities for Spanish class that I have blogged about!
Mi Lápiz is one of my students’ favorites, and I love that it is so low prep for me!
True or False is a great post-reading activity. Students create their own quick quizzes, then trade with a partner.
Speed Date Translate is one of my favorite partner activities for Spanish that gets students interacting with their classmates and reading out loud with a ton of movement involved!
Grid puzzles are another fantastic option to work in pairs. It’s a little bit easier to solve them when the students can work together!
Partner Matamoscas are great for listening comprehension! Students race their partner to be the first to touch the word or image. Keep points if you want it to become a competition!
Reading with Emotion is an activity that’s based off an improv game! Students might feel more comfortable at first if they do this with a partner.
I find that Running Dictation works best for my classes in pairs! If I have an odd number I will do one group of three, but I’ve found students work better in pairs for this activity so no one is standing around waiting!
There you have it! I hope this post helps you when you’re planning or looking for something new to do with your classes in pairs! What is one of your favorite partner activities for Spanish? Comment below!
