Free Winter Speaking Activity for Spanish Class

The cold winter months can be really hard to make it through. Whether you’re between Thanksgiving and Winter Break, or in that long period of January and February, sometimes you just ned a low prep lesson to help engage your students and save you time. Grab this free winter speaking activity for Spanish class to enjoy with your students!
All About the Guess Who Game
This game is a very simple one! Students pair up, silently select a character from the game board, and ask each other yes or no questions to identify each other’s chosen character. The first student to guess correctly wins!
In order to play, you just need pairs of students, a game board for each student, and markers to help the students eliminate the characters as they rule them out. Scraps of paper work just fine, or if you use the digital version there are moveable X’s to cover up the squares!
There is a printable vocabulary support page and game board, as well as a digital version for use with Google Slides. Both work well, depending on the supplies you have available!
Variations on the Free Winter Speaking Activity for Spanish Class
While the traditional partner set up is great, it’s nice to be able to change it up! You could also use this as a whole class activity. Project the character board and give students the vocabulary support and play it as a guessing game with all of your students at once. You could also add it to stations!
