Spanish Prepositions Worksheet
I’ve ordered the pages in this blog post by difficulty level, based on level of production expected from the students. The beginning activities are recognition and spelling, then interpretation, and finally the last worksheet includes some output in the form of writing sentences. You could print these off and use them as sub plan packet, or mix them throughout your unit for practice as needed!
These are great for independent work, review, and even a formative assessment!
Spanish Prepositions Exercises Practice Worksheet #1
In the first Spanish exercise, students complete a word search activity. This is a great option for Spanish students to familiarize themselves with spelling patterns in the Spanish language! This pdf worksheet comes with two options: a basic version and a challenge version.
In the first version, the students look at the list of Spanish prepositions and vocabulary and write the definitions for each. Then, they find them in the word search.

In the second version, students create their own word bank by writing a list of the most common prepositions of place. Then, they find each word in the Spanish worksheet. This is a great way to get them thinking about different prepositions and make the learning process fun and challenging!
Spanish Prepositions Exercises Practice Worksheet #2
In the second Spanish exercise, students read a sentence using the prepositions. Then, they create a drawing to illustrate their understanding of the correct preposition in the target language. There’s an answer key for you to show the correct answers as well!

Students have a great time with this simple drawing activity and like to show off their finished page with illustrations of their car.
Spanish Prepositions Exercises Practice Worksheet #3
The next Spanish worksheet is very similar to the second, except now they are working with simple prepositions and Spanish vocabulary of “la ciudad”. Students read and illustrate the correct Spanish preposition and buildings.

Spanish Prepositions Exercises Practice Worksheet #4
The last Spanish prepositions practice worksheet shifts students into more output. It has two sections. The first, has students read the descriptions and color the cards on the city map based on what they read.

The second section has them writing five sentences for cards in the city, based on the map on the page and the locations of the cars. This is a great option to get them working with the group of words and phrases in a very supported way! This is a great way to stretch your students from using a single word answer to writing full sentences using those prepositions.
