Are you looking for a way to help subject pronouns “stick” for your Spanish students? You need some engaging activities to reinforce them for your novices! These subject pronoun Spanish practices are great to add to stations or as a warm up, homework, or formative assessment option for your students. They are easy to post online or print and go for extra practice. Keep reading to see three options for subject pronouns in Spanish practice!

Boom Cards Practice
Boom Cards are a great option for your Spanish students! They are auto-correcting and give students instant feedback as they are working! Students read, listen, and write as they use these digital task cards on Boom Learning.

Boom Cards are super low prep – just post and go! Your students can work through all 60 cards, you can hide cards for your students to make several shorter assignments, or you can just give them the fast pin link which will shuffle and pull a random 20 cards out of the deck for your students to practice with.

Did you know you can also print Boom Cards and use as Subject Pronouns Spanish Practice? It’s quick, easy, and makes this practice activity even more versatile for your classroom. Click here for the tutorial!
Maze Games
Maze games are another great way to use as Subject Pronouns Spanish Practice, almost sneaky way, to get students to do more reading and practice! Students look at the words and choose the correct answer to “escape” the maze. I also have my students go back and do additional activities with the mazes for extra practice!

You can print and use these in stations, as warm up, a fast finisher – there’s tons of options. Here’s just a few of my favorite ways to use these practice activities:
- bell ringers
- as a station during review days
- partner games – race to finish first!
- independent practice or homework
- formative assessment

Add a Kinesthetic Option with Movement Cards
If your students are starting to drag during grammar time, it might be time to get them moving. Try this. Write or print subject pronouns on large cards and tape them around the room. Then call out different subject descriptions in Spanish. Ella es mi profesora. Nosotros vamos al parque. Tú tienes una mochila roja.
Students move to the correct pronoun card based on the sentence. You can do this as a full class activity or split into small groups with one reader per round. It turns subject pronouns into a physical, visual, and spoken experience. That combination helps the concept stick in their memory.
It is simple to prep, gets students out of their seats, and lets you observe who is grasping the concept right away.
Make It Stick with Quick Visual Tasks
Another idea to reinforce subject pronouns Spanish practice is to use mini whiteboards or paper slips and give rapid fire prompts. You say or project a sentence in English and students write the correct subject pronoun in Spanish. For example, say “My best friend and I” and students write “nosotros.” Go fast and keep it fun. Throw in silly example sentences to keep the energy up.
For even more support, hand out a mini reference sheet or keep one on the board. It gives them a boost of confidence and helps your novices stay engaged without getting stuck.
These mini games work perfectly between longer activities, at the end of class, or right before a quiz to help students feel prepared.
When your students practice subject pronouns in Spanish using different formats like digital, visual, written, and movement based activities, the concept clicks in a deeper way. Plus, they actually enjoy it. And that is a classroom win every time.
