Activities for Stations in Spanish Class
Before we get into it, I just want to remind you that my experience has all been secondary Spanish classes, working with novice students. I’ve never worked with elementary so while some of these may work in that setting, we’re looking at 6-12th grades as the focus here.
I’ve tried my best to sort these into Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening, but I’d love for you to give me some grace here. There’s some overlap between the skills, so something might be in reading, but works for writing, and speaking and listening might be paired up!

Getting your students speaking can be a little tricky, but I love that stations allows for a small group setting, which many find less stressful. Try these out:
- Conversation Cards
- Ball Toss – students ask a question, toss the ball, answer the question, repeat. Send them out to the hallway if you need the space!
- Fortune Teller from La Secundaria
- 2 Truths and a Lie
- Sonidos Secretos from The Engaged Spanish Classroom
- Head’s Up with Quizlet

More on Stations for Spanish Class
I know there are SO many different activities you can use in stations, but I wanted to give you a place to start as you’re planning. Remember, you don’t have to recreate the wheel and do something brand new every time! It’s less work for you and helps stations to run even more smoothly if you’re not having to explain 4 different activities. Pull out an old faithful and call it a day!
