You don’t have to spend a ton of money on readers if you don’t have the budget – buy this bundle and print out a couple of copies of each and add them to your SSR library. They are comprehensible and there is a subject to interest every learner. I have also used some of these with the whole class (las vacaciones) at the beginning of the year and the famous people ones to get some more input in for learning how to describe people.

The passages are written in a way that is comprehensible for even lower level students, thus letting all of my students experience success with the language. The graphic design of the passages is great. I’m mindful of resources that are overstimulating or that are super busy graphically, but this resource strikes a great balance between being visually engaging and giving the eye time to rest and the brain time to process. 11/10…highly recommend!

Our high school does a hybrid schedule of in-class learning, block schedules, days where we meet for every class, and days that students work from home. These readings and activities are adaptable with enough variety that there is something that interests all of my students. I have not had the resource long, but the kids just had a week of working from home, and I was able to incorporate some quick activities for them to do. They rate our activities, and the readings got 5 stars from them. I can tell we will use it throughout the year. Students who need a brief review of vocabulary from the various topics/themes will be ready to discuss that topic in class, study with a friend, or write a brief essay or journal entry (or postcard to characters in the readings). I was able to assign distance learning (even having them record themselves reading aloud so I could listen to their pronunciation/reading skills).

This is such a great product. I used this for distant learners last spring and they enjoyed it so much. I made an additional activity out of the “busca alguien” sections into canvas quizzes with multiple choice so they could look for the main points and canvas graded it for me. This was such a time saver. I am not using it in my classroom for in-person students and they enjoy it just the same. I cannot fathom how long it took to create these. thank you SO much!!!
