I’ve done lots of snow and holiday blog posts over the years, but depending on what the weather is up to in your neck of the woods you might have a snowy winter ahead with lots of weird schedule days for late starts, early dismissals, or just days off. I wanted to share 5 winter freebies for Spanish class you could use to plug into your lesson plans on those days where one class might be a little bit ahead or you want to keep half your classes from getting too far ahead, but still do SPANISH with your students.

5 Winter Freebies for Spanish Class
These are pretty flexible! For the most part you can use them with various levels, but definitely with your Spanish 1 & 2 students. Some of them are a little more open ended so you can stretch them with your upper level classes, too. There’s a mix of print and digital options, as well!
Guess Who Game
This game is a very simple one! Students pair up, silently select a character from the game board, and ask each other yes or no questions to identify each other’s chosen character. The first student to guess correctly wins! Click here to grab the digital and printable games.
Snowman Movie Talk
Snowflake Digital Review Game for Present Tense AR Verbs
This is an easy option for Google Slides! Students click present to play and then select their answers, getting instant feedback if they choose the incorrect response. This free download includes 30 questions to review AR verbs in the present tense for your Spanish students. Click here to grab it!
Draw and Describe a Snowman
This writing activity is a very simple one! Students decorate their snowman, adding hair, eye color, and clothing. Then, students write a description of their snowman that includes physical descriptions, personality traits, and describing the clothing they have drawn.
Mystery Picture Boom Cards
In this free set, students click the picture that matches the vocab phrase. Each answer reveals a bit more of the picture!
