Here’s the quick list of February bulletin board ideas for you to reference:

Black History Month Bulletin Board Ideas for Spanish Class

Check out these Black History Month bulletin board ideas for Spanish class for the perfect way to celebrate and decorate. Several of them are an easy bulletin board idea that take student work and show it off for your classroom display.

Black History Month Bulletin Board Report Posters

These research posters have an emphasis on Afro Latinos with this list, but the research posters also include a blank template for your students to write in other people they’d like to research, with your approval! They might want to learn more about Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, Maya Angelou, Barack Obama, Martin Luther King Jr., or George Washington Carver. There are so many famous African Americans to choose from!

As Black History Month is celebrated through the United States, they may have already learned about some of them, so it’s nice to give students a choice and explore a topic of interest to them. Maybe they did an in-depth project on the Underground Railroad as a younger student in elementary school social studies class, but now your high school students are interested in learning more about the civil rights movement as they’ve heard about in their history classes, or other historical events. Choice is a great way to increase buy-in and makes a huge difference in student engagement!

When finished, these research projects make a great bulletin board. Check out the example shared below or see the post here on Instagram!

Winter Themes for Bulletin Boards

While February is a great month to emphasize Black History Month & Valentine’s Day, sometimes you just want a bulletin board that you can put up and leave up until spring! Check out these bulletin boards with winter themes:

Soy Único Snowflakes

Image shows a printed and colored snowflake with details about a student including their name, favorite food, favorite color, favorite sport, their birthday, and music they like.
Download this getting to know you activity here!

These snowflakes are one of my favorite options for winter and starting a new semester of the school year. Each snowflake has a student’s name, then they fill out the other elements to describe themselves. They will write answers to short, novice level prompts about themselves. You can also have your students decorate the snowflakes for added color!

Bulletin Board Set Includes:

  • Printable Letters
  • Printable Banner
  • 6 different snowflakes for students to choose from – they all have they same prompts, but students can pick which they like best!
  • “About me” style prompts on the snowflakes for students to share about themselves

Cocoa Conjugation

Image shows a winter themed bulletin board with the words "Cocoa Conjugation". In the foreground there is a colored mug with the word "Hablar" and marshmallows with the conjugated forms of the verb hablar.

These el invierno winter worksheets are great for door decor & a fun Spanish 1 final exam review, all in one. You can use this with any set of verbs, in any tense! You can also use this in the new year coming back from winter break when students need time to review.

The downloadable pdf includes:

  • Printable Bulletin Board Letters “Cocoa Conjugation”
  • Student Practice Sheet with 5 Mugs
  • Full Sheet Mugs & Marshmallows – 3 Variations to choose from

The infinitives are NOT written in on the sheets. This is so you can use this with ANY set of verbs you would like them to review – or you can have students choose any verbs to practice with that you have covered!

Verbos “Nievos”

Image shows 3 snowflakes colored and decorated with an infinitive as well as the conjugated forms of each verb. Examples shown are hablar, bailar, and escribir.

This snowflake review is a good bulletin board to hang and leave up the rest of the winter! Students write an infinitive in the middle of a snowflake, then conjugate the verb on the snowflake! You can also have your students decorate the snowflakes for added color!

You can use this with any set of verbs, in any tense! Hang all of the snowflakes up in your “Verbos Nievos” display to show off student work! There is also an option if you would like to print the display without the pun and just have it say “Verbos Nuevos”. Up to you!
